HIP HOP HEROES
LATINO VIBE
I had a vague worry that AL had made yer standard 'latin' track with the most irritating samples since Calling For Your XXXX. Shoulda knowd better though, AL is a bit too fly for that. Nope Latino Vibe is exactly what it says on the tin and a jolly wheeze of a vibe it is too. Starting with some vocoded vocals and an insidious bassline, Latino Vibe establishes itself early on in the proceedings and if you like your music to work that butt, this'll do it to it. The problem, for me, with tracks of this style is it REALLY makes me want to dance and that can lead to some embarrassing moments. So, while I keep my legs firmly tucked under my butt, you lot toddle off and download this excellent track from whatsisname. Then you can do the dancing and I can do the laughing...

The track start's in a furious tempo, no need for slow build up here . I am a sucker for "latin House" and this is a true piece of that....so much energy you're getting all sweaty. I love the tribal effects and I would love to see the old Celia Cruz doing some salsa steps to this one, she would probably get her self a heartattack! The only thing I didn't enjoy was the "military camp" voices, they didn't quite fit in my opinion. Otherwise it's a damn cool track. Very good mate!

Jules Verne claimed to have done it in 80 days, I've just completed the same journey, effortlessly in just 60 mins, thanks to this wonderful album. It captures the imagination, with flavours and styles from around the world. You get a mighty sense of cultural influence, just from the artists themselves. DJ MuzikAL has done a remarkable job of remixing the tracks, I could say not 1 drum beat is out of place, but I would be lying, it's more truthful to state that not 1 single cymbol is out of place. The mix is so good! Hip Hop is not the easiest style to mix, in fact how many hip Hop mix CD's do you see in the shops? Virtually none for the simple reason it takes a lot of love and care to acheive such perfection. If you want a refreshing change from your standard dance mix CD's, you got to give this album a try.

I have carefully listened to both renditions. The first Forgotten Bliss is far more haunting than the remix, with a distinctive African feel. However it was the MuzikAL in Bliss RMX that was more my bag. The Latin American feel over some menacing synths and beats takes you on a journey. Whether its 'forgotten bliss' I dont know. The track is composed and arranged in a credible way. The begining , middle and end are definately there, although the images this song portrayed for me, did not reflect in the song title. Good Tune.........I liked.

WHATCHA GONNA WANT
Whatcha Gonna Want is a really good track and to tell you the truth, a lot of rap artists could use that track for one of their songs. Good job.

interesting hihats. good bass line, although it could have more variations. Good break you got. Missing more synth elements, there is to much percusion etc. for 3,4 min so far..it keeps going on and on. Good one!

Whatcha Gonna Want is a great track. I want to say X-ecutioners meets Aphex Twin? However, I hear a unique voice that doesn't fit within a specific set of characteristics.

CHILLED OUT CITY
AL has mixed this cd together really well and has managed to blend the tracks together into one seemless flow of quality music. The music quality is very good and AL's time and effort has been used well. I would guess that it was no easy job putting these tracks together on 1 continuous mix. The cd has a great line-up of artist's and on a personal note i was very happy with the results of my 2 tracks. AL worked them into the mix very well and to be honest they are not tracks that stand out on their own but they work so well on this cd. There really is some cool mellow music on this album that will take your mind into a trance and relax your body. The cd also features some nice smooth dance numbers to see it self out and these help tie the album up and together, add to make a brilliant listening pleasure. The music has to impress me on it's first play to stick with me and this cd does just that. If i was you and you are reading this then check it out and maybe order yourself a copy??? Good job AL

FIRE DOWN THE HOLE
This is that hip hop rappy stuff was the first comment. Then it was noted
This would have been what it would have sounded like if this style was around in the 70s you know Shaft and the like. I would have to agree Al m8 this is a great track a real unusual mix of rhythms and styles and I would agree with the earlier comment. Well done m8 very, very good track.

Damn, this rocks hard!!! This is a work of art m8! If i could, I'd send you a bottle of Bud thru the post... ;)
The mix takes you on a sonic journey for the first half, and kicks in on the dancefloor for the second half...
It's a sonic experience for sure.

"The journey" is just the right word to this peice of art. This is a high-quality album and the mixing is done very professionally, you can hardly spot any low points from this set. After the intro, this album grows and gets bigger little by little, very softly and very ambient. There are some interesting tunes around the corner and before you know, they come straight to your ears. You get into your mood before mid-point is reached and you feel relaxed. Then starts a long way to a very beautiful end. You find yourself from another place called "Chilled Out City".

Well take me back to the days of the cool pimp funk style. I love this hip hop track that gives you a new school with old school sound. A real clean production for this head banger. Nice use of simple not over done vocal rap. Well Done...I'll be listening to this one daily.

I don't like the first 20 sec but when you start betas, it's something else. Good bass, very suitable. Not sure, but I think quality is low, don't know... Good vocals. Just work on quality more and mastering for some parts specially bass. I don't like outro you could finish the work better. Anyway was an enjoyable work mate ;)

SLOW 'N' LOW
Musically Slow 'n' Low does exactly what it says in the title. With a beat that is so relaxed that by rights it should be horizontal, this is 5:13 of sheer blissout, driven by a drum kit that - by rights - should have been played by Ringo Starr so pedestrian are the beats displayed. However this track, like Starr's drumming is misleading because although it seems to consists of nothing very much, it still manages to power this song to its completion. Structurally, it's yer fairly typical hip hop/chillout although I particularly would like to draw your attention to some of the lead sounds which are pretty damn neat, and well used, as indeed are the bass sequences. So, Slow and Low, 5am, coffee, cigarettes and a dissolute woman/man (select preference) and no doubt a bit of 'way hay' may occur. Yep, soft, slinky and as addictive as cocaine.

FORGOTTEN BLISS
This track is very good for the dance/electronica genre of music. I like the fact it has almost a calypso kind of feel in some parts and isn't completely devoiod of melody as some dance tracks are. Not bad.

Have to admit on first listen I thought it was a bit messy and didnt quite work although there was a lot of nice bits. On second/third listen things have changed. The overall effect comes across as a really nice relaxing piece of music. How you have the beats and rhythms arranged works very well. Where before I felt the keys and the synths played against each other I can now hear how you have intended them and boy does it work. I would say that this is a great summer tune. Well done guys

OOH
This guy is a talented producer, perhaps a remix/edit is in order. An excellent use of percussive dynamic rhythm a-la the old-skool masters.

I've had a listen to the deep trance remix, and have to say that I was very impressed. The track seemed to have a natural progressive flow about it, and the theme changed sufficiently to keep it interesting. This is a nice piece of work.
